The release date for the Genesis [Beta] is now anticipated for 6th December 2019. This will allow the miners time to prepare for the full “Go Live”.

To ensure a seamless upgrade path, we encourage all participants to test the software on the various BitconSV networks. Below you can find the technical details for running BitcoinSV Node on the various BitcoinSV networks:

Genesis Testnet [GT]

A public Bitcoin SV test network intended for testing Genesis hard fork and this allows the users to test their application behaviour after Genesis hard fork. Please be informed, GT will be available for public from 06-December-2019 to (at least) February 2020.

Genesis Reset [GR]

A public Bitcoin SV test network intended for testing the Genesis hard fork. It allows users to test their application behaviour during the upgrade process. Also, the GR network will reset every 48 hours, this is to ensure the forking process is repeatable & stable. Please be informed, GR will be available for public use from 06-December-2019 to (at least) February 2020. Participation on the GR network will require some additional work with your node to ensure it resets to the correct block height every 48 hours.

Scaling Test Network [STN]

A public Bitcoin SV test network intended for testing large blocks and large transaction volume. Implemented to reduce the impact of scalability testing on testnet and to preserve testnet as a network for testing of applications built on top of Bitcoin SV – without requiring testnet users to make significant hardware available.
